A new television ad featuring President Donald Trump is drawing attention after airing with the song “Love Me” in the background and a disclaimer stating that it was paid for by the U.S. government.

The 30-second ad features photos and video of Trump, the American flag and military imagery while audio of the president plays. Trump speaks about defeating communism, socialism and Marxism and says America will never become a communist country. The ad also highlights administration claims about tax cuts, manufacturing and law enforcement.

The ad aired on Fox News and Newsmax and was also distributed through connected-TV platforms. According to AdImpact, the first spot cost about $14,000. The advertisement does not explicitly tell viewers which candidate to support in the upcoming midterm elections.

What has attracted particular attention is the disclaimer at the bottom of the screen stating, “Paid for by the U.S. Government.” The White House has defended the advertisements as public-service announcements, while critics have argued that the spots function like political advertising.
The soundtrack adds another unusual element. The ad uses JMSN’s song “Love Me,” with the phrase repeated as images of Trump appear on screen. It also includes audio from UFC president Dana White praising Trump during the 2024 Republican National Convention.

The controversy comes as the 2026 midterm elections approach. The administration has said the ads are intended to communicate its policies and message to the public, while critics have questioned the use of government funds for an advertisement centered so heavily on the president.
