Seoul is not just preparing for a concert. It is preparing for an entire city's worth of visitors who have never been here before.

With BTS' comeback performance at Gwanghwamun Square set for March 21, the Korea Tourism Organization has launched a tourism campaign specifically designed to guide the expected wave of international fans toward broader experiences across the city. The campaign, announced Tuesday in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, treats the concert as an entry point rather than a destination in itself.
The most visible part of the effort will be around Gwanghwamun Square itself. Outdoor digital billboards in the area will run promotional videos highlighting Korean tourism attractions. A large welcome banner for fans will go up on the exterior of Seoul's government complex building. Near Exit 6 of Gwanghwamun Station on Subway Line 5, a promotional booth run in collaboration with the Korea Creative Content Agency will open on concert day, offering Korean content and travel information, interactive experiences, and commemorative gifts.
HiKR Ground, the Korea Tourism Organization's experiential tourism space in central Seoul, is going full Army for the occasion. The entire venue will be decorated in purple, the signature color of BTS and its fandom. Events scheduled there include dance classes to BTS music and fan singing contests. Operating hours will be extended until midnight on concert night, with restrooms, phone charging stations, and free Wi-Fi available throughout.

The word "borahae" coined by BTS member V to mean "I will trust and love you for a long time" has been used in purple LED banners hung around the HiKR Ground space, a small but considered detail that will not be lost on fans who know what it means.
Online, the Korea Tourism Organization's VisitKorea website will run a special feature mapping out filming locations from BTS music videos alongside tourist attractions near the concert venue. International visitors can also access discounts on tourism and cultural experience packages through travel platform Nol World.
To help fans get around safely after the show, multilingual services will be expanded through the tourism hotline 1330 and tourist information centers across the city. Late-night transportation options and nearby medical facilities will be among the guidance available.

The concert itself starts at 8 p.m. and streams live on Netflix worldwide. Hamish Hamilton, who has directed the Super Bowl halftime show almost every year since 2010 and has worked with Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar and Usher, is directing the show. Up to 260,000 people are expected in the Gwanghwamun area that night.
