President Trump recently raised plenty of eyebrows after he chose to hang a picture of himself with Russian President Vladimir Putin inside the White House as a part of the broader redecoration process.
The image was believed to have been taken last year in August during the Alaska summit, where both leaders met. Both presidents discussed some sensitive issues, including the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine that started in 2022.
This meeting was an important one as it was the first face-to-face discussion between both leaders since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and it was also seen as a major diplomatic moment, even though both sides failed to reach a mutual agreement on peace, despite Trump's major efforts.
The picture was reportedly placed in a very high-visibility region of the White House, right above a personal photograph of Trump with his granddaughter. It quickly drew attention and controversy due to Putin being a controversial figure around the globe, as he's accused of war crimes. Many couldn't help but call it a bizarre move by Trump, who appeared to send an odd message.
