68-year-old actor and director Timothy Busfield has become the focus of a national law enforcement search after a New Mexico arrest warrant was rolled out in his name.
This had to do with charges linking him to two counts of criminal s*xual contact with a minor and one count of child abuse.
These charges stem from allegations that were made by the parents of two twin boys who were child actors on a leading TV series, The Cleaning Lady, which he directed.
The parents claim the star touched them inappropriately, and they were made aware of this when their twins were only seven. They also shared how it continued on several occasions, forcing authorities to seek his arrest.
At the start, local police inside Albuquerque were not able to find him despite the warrant being signed. This prompted the US Marshals Service to join the effort to locate and detain him.
For days, his whereabouts were not known, raising serious public concern and scrutiny over the matter.
