Lady Gaga is officially a mom!
The 40-year-old pop superstar has welcomed her first child with fiancé Michael Polansky, marking an exciting new chapter for the couple after years of Gaga openly speaking about her dream of becoming a mother.

Page Six first reported the surprise baby news on September 11, confirming that Gaga and Polansky had recently welcomed their first child together. PEOPLE later independently confirmed the arrival through a source.
The couple managed to keep the major development remarkably private. Gaga never publicly announced that they were expecting a child, and details surrounding the baby's arrival remain closely guarded.

The baby's name, sex and exact date of birth have not been revealed. Gaga's representatives also did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
However, the new parents have already been spotted enjoying their first days as a family of three.
Gaga and Polansky were photographed taking a walk with their newborn in Northern California. The singer was seen carrying the baby close to her chest in a carrier while Polansky walked alongside her.

The happy news comes after Gaga largely disappeared from the public eye following the conclusion of her latest tour. She wrapped the nine-month Mayhem Ball tour in April after performing 86 shows around the world.
Gaga and Polansky have been together since 2019 and became engaged in 2024. Although they have occasionally appeared together publicly, the pair have generally kept much of their relationship away from the spotlight.
Motherhood is something Gaga has spoken about for years.
In 2025, the Grammy winner said she was excited about becoming a mom, while also admitting that she had previously felt apprehensive about the responsibility. She explained that one of her biggest priorities would be allowing her future children to discover who they are rather than feeling pressured to follow her path.
Later that year, Gaga made her hopes even clearer while discussing what she wanted from the next stage of her life.
She described motherhood as the "next starring role" she hoped to take on.
Now, that role has finally arrived.
For someone affectionately known to millions of fans as "Mother Monster," Gaga has officially become a mother for real, although it appears she and Polansky intend to keep their newborn's life as private as possible for now.
