The mother of the 16 kids who were confined to one room in an Ohio House of Horrors had previously been charged with incidents involving six of her own kids.

Elizabeth Siders, 33, and her partner, Gary Siders II, were both charged in the Juvenile Court Division of the Gallia County Court of Common Pleas with truancy-related offenses in 2021.
Those charges were filed in October of 2021, after six of their kids had failed to attend a single day of school at Addaville Elementary, as per copies of juvenile court records.

The school was a pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade school in Gallipolis, which is a village located nearly 150 miles east of Cincinnati. The records state that the parents were notified by officials from the Gallia County Local School District about their kids' absences, but refused to take any action.
