A fresh restoration project is currently being done at the White House.
The construction was seen targeting the historic columns of the North Portico. This iconic front entrance facing Pennsylvania Avenue was covered in scaffolding and printed tarps as construction crews worked towards repairing stone damage and stripping away nearly 150 years of accumulated paint layers from these pillars.

Trump did comment on the initiative during a recent Rose Garden appearance, adding that the columns were neglected by past administrations and openly blasting Joe Biden for failing to notice the worsening condition.
Interior Secretary Doug Burgum defended the fast-moving project, praising Trump's sharp attention to aesthetic detail linked to the building's upkeep.

This restoration is part of a bigger wave of recent design updates directed by Trump, which do include gliding the Oval Office and introducing new gold signage and landscaping the whole West Wing.
