The star dropped a very dark and horror-themed music video for her latest single, 'Watch It Burn ', which mainly targets her former lover, Orlando Bloom. This release comes right after the couple's very public split and a series of the most cryptic and tension-filled teasers.
In the very eerie and cinematic video, Perry underwent a dramatic and visual transformation, morphing into a human scorpion hybrid. This narrative reaches a climax while she grows a massive and demonic scorpion tail and goes on a fiery rampage, quite literally leaving her past in flames.
Many started to swiftly dissect the visuals, which come with plenty of tightly packed Easter eggs that were aimed at Bloom and her former lovers. It wouldn't be wrong to mention how the images are so jarring, and many heralded this track as an angry and bold return to form.
