Even after more than 100 passengers and crew members fell sick during a norovirus outbreak aboard the Caribbean Princess cruise ship, passenger Jan van Milligen mentioned life on board felt quite normal.
The normal atmosphere did return, the passenger shared, while aboard the vessel for 21 days. Both friends and relatives from South Africa shared how they attended a show last night, and it was very special, followed by a great dinner and breakfast being served this morning.

The outbreak left 102 of the ship's 3116 passengers and 113 crew members sick as per the CDC stats.
The predominant symptoms were diarrhea and vomiting, and the agency cited norovirus as the leading cause of the matter.

The CDC detailed more about how the outbreak was reported on Thursday during the ship's voyage through the Caribbean. As of the afternoon hours on Saturday, the vessel was located north of the Dominican Republic en route to Nassau in the Bahamas, as per local media outlets.
