Jimmy Kimmel was recently seen defending himself after US President Donald Trump and Melania Trump called for his urgent firing.
The news comes amid the late-night comic making a brutal joke about the first lady having the glow of an expectant widow.

The remark related to the president's wife was part of a major routine on Thursday's Jimmy Kimmel Live in which he was seen pretending to roll out a comedy routine at the then-upcoming White House Correspondents' Association dinner.
The event arose two nights later but was cut short after a gunman was seen storming in with arms and knives and made an effort to try and enter the Washington ballroom where the Trumps and many of the cabinet members had gathered for the evening event.

Melania boldly declared that people like Jimmy Kimmel should not have the opportunity to enter into homes every evening to spread hate.
But Kimmel has since then tried to defend himself by claiming the joke was linked to Trump's age difference with his wife and nothing more, calling it a very light roast about the fact that he's nearly 80 and she's much younger than him. He reminded audiences that it was nothing linked to Trump's assassination by any means. He also shared more about how he's so vocal about these kinds of things, including gun violence, so that was never his intention.
