Comedian and actor Gary Owen is speaking openly about his past marriage and revealing why he says he expects to remain faithful to his current wife, Brianna Johnson.
In an interview with Vlad TV published on August 22, Owen, 52, discussed his previous marriage to Kenya Duke, whom he married in 2003. The couple divorced in 2021.
Owen acknowledged that he was unfaithful during the marriage and attributed the situation, in part, to a lack of intimacy between the couple. He said that during the final six years of their marriage, they had sex only three times and described their relationship as being out of sync romantically.
“The biggest difference between this marriage and my last marriage is that we weren’t intimate at all,” Owen said.
The comedian contrasted that experience with his current relationship with Johnson, explaining that he enjoys their intimacy and looks forward to returning home to her.
Owen said he expects “to be 100% faithful” in his current marriage. He also emphasized that his comments about his previous relationship were not intended as an attack on Duke, saying the lack of intimacy was mutual.
The comments have sparked discussion online about relationships, compatibility and whether a lack of intimacy can contribute to infidelity.
Owen and Johnson married in 2025. His remarks have now brought renewed attention to his previous marriage and his perspective on what makes his current relationship different.
