Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly preparing to move back to the United Kingdom with their two children, Archie and Lilibet, six years after stepping away from royal duties and settling in California.
According to multiple reports cited by the BBC, the couple plans to relocate to a private residence outside London later this month. Their children are reportedly expected to begin attending a British school in September, marking a major change for the family after years of living in Montecito.

The reported move comes shortly after Harry and Meghan reunited with King Charles at Highgrove House during their July visit. The meeting was significant because it was reportedly the first time Charles had seen Archie and Lilibet in person in more than four years.
Despite the planned relocation, the Sussexes are not expected to resume their roles as working royals. Reports indicate that they intend to remain private individuals while living in the UK.

King Charles has reportedly been informed of the family's plans and is said to welcome the opportunity to spend more time with his grandchildren. Prince William and Kate Middleton have also reportedly been informed.
Harry and Meghan left royal duties in 2020 and eventually established their life in California. Their relationship with the royal family became strained following a series of public interviews, their Netflix documentary and Harry's memoir Spare.
The reported return could therefore mark a new chapter for the Sussex family, particularly as Harry has repeatedly expressed a desire to rebuild relationships with his relatives.
