James Haven, the older brother of actress Angelina Jolie, has publicly come out as gay and described the announcement as the beginning of a new chapter in his life.

Haven spoke openly about his personal journey and said that, after years of healing from childhood trauma, he now feels free to live the life he believes he was always meant to live.
“I am now free to live the life that I believe I was always meant to live,” Haven said, describing the next chapter as one filled with hope, peace and love.
During a conversation with Imbelli, Haven confirmed that he is gay. The discussion also touched on his past relationship with Imbelli. The pair married in August 2024, but their marriage was later annulled.
Haven also shared a heartfelt message for his family and others, expressing hope that people would respond with love and understanding rather than judgment.
He said he hopes those close to him can look beyond labels and continue to see him as the same person they have always known — with the same heart, laugh and soul.
