Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty has spoken publicly about his ongoing family estrangement, saying he believes in forgiveness but is not yet ready to fully reconcile.

The 31-year-old athlete said his Christian faith has shaped his outlook, explaining that forgiveness is important to him. However, he added that rebuilding relationships would take time and would depend on whether he believes meaningful changes have been made.

The family dispute reportedly began in 2024 after Adam and his now-wife, Holly Ramsay, did not invite several members of the Peaty family to their engagement party and wedding. Since then, the disagreement has remained unresolved.
Following Adam's recent success at the Commonwealth Games, where he won two bronze medals, members of his family publicly expressed hope that they could repair their relationship.

Responding to questions about a possible reconciliation, Adam said forgiveness does not mean forgetting the past. He suggested that while he remains open to healing, trust must be rebuilt over time. He also stated that he believes "the truth will come out one day," though he did not elaborate further on what he meant.
Family disagreements can be deeply personal, and the full details of private disputes are often known only to those involved. For now, Adam appears focused on his swimming career while leaving the door open to reconciliation in the future, provided the circumstances are right.
