A Swiss content creator has transformed his backyard into a breathtaking miniature Greek village after spending an entire year and around £10,000 bringing his dream to life.
Michael Scherrer, 48, from Lake Constance, Switzerland, built the Mediterranean-inspired village with the help of his brother, Samuel. The project features charming cobbled streets, traditional blue shutters, whitewashed buildings, and even a traditional Greek-style bar, giving visitors the feeling of stepping into a real Greek island.

The miniature village is part of a much larger themed garden that has cost the brothers around £20,000 to build so far. Beyond the Greek section, the property also includes themed spaces inspired by different countries, narrow alleyways, magical rooms, an Irish pub, and seasonal attractions, creating a unique experience for guests.

Michael said the idea came from a shared passion for gardening and construction, as well as a desire to create a relaxing place where they could meet clients and enjoy the outdoors. He explained that the project took longer than expected due to planning permissions and weather conditions, but the final result made the effort worthwhile.

Built across part of a 1,500-square-meter property, the handcrafted attraction has impressed thousands of people online, with many praising the incredible attention to detail and creativity behind the project.
What started as a simple backyard idea has become a remarkable destination that captures the beauty and atmosphere of Greece—without ever leaving Switzerland.
