Prince Harry's Travalyst Names Graham Miller as New Director, Who Once Compared Frequent Flying to Drink-Driving

Prince Harry's eco-tourism initiative, Travalyst, has appointed Graham Miller as its new director, a move that's drawing attention due to Miller's outspoken past comments on air travel.

Harry launched Travalyst in 2019 with the goal of making the tourism industry more environmentally sustainable. At the time, both he and Meghan faced criticism for their own frequent use of private jets, including a stretch in 2019 where the couple reportedly took four such flights within just 11 days. Harry addressed the backlash directly, saying "no one is perfect" and that "we can all do better."

Now, Travalyst's newly appointed director brings an even more pointed stance on the issue. Back in 2020, while working as a lecturer at the University of Surrey, Miller compared casually mentioning frequent flights to admitting reckless behavior, likening it to boasting about drinking and driving.

The comparison raises questions about how Miller's views might align with, or challenge, the messaging coming from Travalyst's royal founder, especially given Harry's own history of high-profile flights, including a widely criticized private jet trip to visit Sir Elton John in Nice just weeks after voicing his commitment to sustainable choices.

As Miller steps into his new leadership role, his past remarks are likely to remain a talking point, particularly as Travalyst continues its mission to reshape how the travel industry approaches environmental responsibility.
