Maya Jama and Manchester City footballer Ruben Dias quietly ended their relationship in April. It has been less than three months. And Maya Jama is already being talked about again — this time in connection with a chef named James Freeman.
The two were spotted outside his restaurant Acre in Notting Hill, West London, over the weekend. Maya had spent the afternoon at the popular eatery with a group of friends before stepping outside to chat with James. The conversation apparently went well enough that the hug that followed caught people's attention.
James Freeman is 27. He runs Acre, a well regarded restaurant in one of London's most recognisable neighbourhoods. Beyond that, not much is publicly known about him — which makes the whole situation slightly more interesting given that Maya's previous relationship was with one of the most recognisable footballers in the Premier League.
Maya has been in New York this week for a string of appearances including a spot on Good Morning America where she promoted the current series of Love Island. She looked completely unbothered — leather dress, knee high boots, statement sunglasses — and gave very little away when asked about anything personal.
She is also set to appear on Celebrity Traitors as a contestant for the first time, stepping out from behind the host's role into the game itself.
Post-breakup, new city, new show, possible new person. Maya Jama appears to be doing just fine.
