No dress. No first dance. No cake. Nothing.
The wedding itself was confirmed — Travis Kelce and Swift are officially married, the venue was transformed into an enchanted garden, Adam Sandler officiated, and the couple wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture designed by Jonathan Anderson. All of that is known. The dress that the entire world wants to see remains completely unseen.
Swifties have taken to Reddit and social media in their thousands. Some are defending her right to keep the day private for as long as she wants. Others have been refreshing her Instagram multiple times a day since July 3rd waiting for the post that has not come.
One fan wrote that they just want to see the dress she wore. Another admitted they have been checking Instagram constantly and are convinced the photos are going to be gorgeous whenever they finally arrive. A third joked they feel personally victimised by the silence.
There is a reasonable argument that a woman is entitled to keep her own wedding photos private for as long as she chooses — even a woman whose entire career has been built on a relationship with fans who feel deeply invested in her life.
There is also a reasonable argument that nearly a week of complete silence after the most publicised celebrity wedding in recent memory is a long time to wait.
Taylor Swift has never done anything on anyone else's timeline. This appears to be no different.
