Son of 'Donald of Dubai' Buys a £190 Million London Mansion With 40 Bedrooms and Gold-Covered Walls

Abbas Sajwani is 26 years old. Last month his company bought Dubai's Shangri-La hotel for $300 million. Now he's closing in on a £190 million mansion in the middle of London's Regent's Park.

The property is called The Holme. It sits on four private acres, has 40 bedrooms, 29,000 square feet of interior space, and walls decorated with millions of pounds worth of gold leaf. One architectural critic once called it "the definition of Western civilisation." It overlooks a private lawn that runs straight down to a boating lake.

It is, by any measure, an extraordinary house.

What makes the story more interesting is who Abbas's father is. Hussain Sajwani — the man behind Dubai's DAMAC Properties — is a longtime business partner and close ally of Donald Trump. The two have known each other since 2021, when Hussain's company partnered with the Trump Organization to build the first Trump-branded golf course in the Middle East. Trump called him a "great investor" at a press conference last year. Hussain also has investments in Elon Musk's SpaceX and xAI, and his net worth sits at around $15.3 billion.

Abbas describes himself on his website as "the youngest billionaire in global real estate." Looking at his recent purchases, it's hard to argue with that.

The Holme last sold for £139 million less than two years ago. Before that, it belonged to a Saudi royal family who originally paid £34 million for it back in 1991. The asking price when it went back on the market in 2023 was £250 million — so at £190 million, whoever sold it took a significant cut.

At 26, Abbas Sajwani now owns one of the most expensive homes ever sold in the UK.
