President Trump to release female student detained by ICE after meeting with Zohran Mamdani

Shocking reports are speakingabout a university student in New York who was released from custody after federal immigration agents were seen posing as local police who arrested her.

As per a local official, agents wore fake badges to help in disguising themselves as New York Police Department officers who tried to access a student's home at Columbia University.

Columbia student and online influencer Elmina Aghayeva was detained but later released after the mayor of New York made a very personal appeal to President Trump, as per the Mayor.

The Department of Homeland Security denied that the agents misrepresented themselves as NYPD officers.

This arrest on Thursday morning took place at a home that was owned by Columbia University, as per the university's president. 'Our understanding at this time is that the federal agents made misrepresentations to gain entry to the building to search for a missing person, the letter stated to the students.

The statement from the university did not identify the name of the student who was arrested, but the DHS confirmed that the raid targeted Aghayeva, who is from Azerbaijan and is accused of not having a valid visa from America.
