Stepmom’s haunting plea before cheerleader found dead in Vegas murder-suicide

Tragic reports are speaking about the disappearance of 11-year-old cheerleader Addi Smith and her 38-year-old mother, Tawnia McGeehan.

Their story ended in a tragedy, with both of them found dead in a hotel room in Las Vegas. The duo had traveled from Utah to compete in a cheerleading event.

However, when they failed to show up, teammates and family started to get very concerned. Addi's stepmother posted an urgent plea on social media, asking for help to locate them after they were last seen at the New York New York Hotel.

Concerned loved ones requested a welfare check at the Rio Hotel and Casino, where they happened to be living.

Cops knocked and called out to the room, but did not enter. They believed that there was no immediate threat. Just a few hours later, hotel security went back to check on them. This is when they discovered that Addi and her mother were dead from gunshot wounds.
