Team USA and JD Vance Receive an ICY Reception as they’re Fiercely BOOED at 2026 Winter Olympics amid ICE Fury

The 2026 Winter Olympics officially kicked off yesterday with a striking opening ceremony at San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy.

The event was themed around Amonia or harmony to reflect unity, culture, and the country's dual identity as both a vibrant location and a mountain nation. However, the appearance of Team USA and US Vice President JD Vance had the crowds booing.

This had to do with the fury linked to ICE operations in the US that many appeared to be against.

Athletes from more than 100 different countries were seen parading through the stadium and also gathering at several different sites in the Alps as part of a geographically unique celebration that spread the Olympic spirit across the co-host locations instead of focusing on everything in one place.

This approach made the ceremony feel both very intimate and grand at the same time.

The show blended Italy's artistic heritage with modern spectacle, where dancers and cultural tributes became a norm.
