Rock climber Alex Honnold reaches top of Taipei 101 skyscraper without ropes during Netflix’s ‘Skyscraper Live’

Renowned rock climber from the US, Alex Honnold, just added another feather to his cap of achievements after performing a daredevil-level stunt.

He reached the top of Taipei 101, which is a 101-story skyscraper in Taiwan. Sources shared how he did not make use of any ropes or safety equipment in that daring free-solo ascent.

This was streamed live on Netflix as part of Skyscraper Live. The famed tower is considered to be one of the tallest around the globe, being 508 meters in height, which is approximately 1667 feet.

Many were stunned to see how daring he was to perform the stunt, as he did not make use of any kind of harness, rope, or safety equipment, knowing well the types of dangers that this posed. Still, he chose to go ahead with it.

This is not the first time that someone has managed to climb the tower, but Honnold doing it without any fear of falling or dying really makes him a top achiever for the books, experts shared.

The tower presents as a mix of smooth surfaces and different architectural feels that make this climb so technical.
