Author Brian Doherty was found dead in a Bay Area park after a presumed fall. According to reports from local media outlets, the famous journalist's body was located at Battery Yates, which is a historic landmark in Marin County's Sausalito.

The tragic news was shared by local media outlet Reason Magazine, where he was working as a senior editor.

Doherty is said to have fallen last week on Thursday night after he attended an art gathering that was held atop the park's historic concrete military defense structures.

He was a widely recognized personality who wrote extensively about the evolution of libertarian thought, and it was most notable in his 2008 book called Radicals for Capitalism, which traces back to the development of the modern American libertarian movement.

In a shocking new tribute, David Nott mentioned more about the movement's go-to historian, noting how he had a very unique ability to vividly and thoroughly capture the famous names and stories that shaped this libertarianism.
