Javier Bardem is slammed for using Oscars to attack Israel: ‘Why was he even on the stage?’

Oscar-winning star Javier Bardem is facing major backlash over some of the comments that he made during this year's Oscars.

The star shocked the world when his bold statements to end war and free Palestine caught the audience by shock and surprise. His message was met with loud applause from those seated at the arena.

The star was also seen donning a No a la Guerra pin, which translates to 'No to War'. This is reportedly a symbol that he wore in the past to oppose America's illegal war against Iraq.

Critics slammed the star for what they called out to be anti-Israel stances. "It's no secret that Javier Bardem has spent many years portraying Israel as evil on the world stage," one person wrote on the X platform.

Some also questioned why he was on the stage in the first place. 'Did he have a new film that earned him a spot on the Academy Award stage tonight?'- another questioned.

And then a third reminded him that the Oscars gave him the privilege to announce the winner, not to share his personal thoughts on the global stage.
