Articles of impeachment have been filed against Attorney General Pam Bondi over her handling of the records linked to convicted s*x offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The move was first rolled out by Democratic Rep Shri Thanedar, who accused the AG of obstructing Congress and mismanaging the release of sensitive files connected to the Epstein investigation.
{img}Lawmakers were seen arguing about how key documents were delayed in the process, heavily redacted, or not completely released as required by the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
The controversy grew more after the House Oversight Committee voted to subpoena Bondi to testify about the DOJ's handling of millions of Epstein-related records.
Some of the lawmakers from both parties mentioned how the public still has yet to see all of the documents that were supposed to be released under this transparency law.
