Seoul’s fine-dining scene continues to gain international recognition as several restaurants from the city earned places on the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2026 list. The annual ranking, voted on by more than 350 culinary experts across the region, highlights the growing global influence of contemporary Korean cuisine.
Among the highest-ranking Korean restaurants this year was Mingles, which placed No. 5 overall, making it the top-ranked restaurant from Korea in the 2026 edition. Known for its modern interpretation of traditional Korean flavors and emphasis on fermentation techniques such as jang, Mingles has become one of Seoul’s most recognized fine-dining destinations internationally.
{img}Another major achievement came from Onjium, which ranked No. 10. The restaurant is known for combining research into historical Korean cuisine with refined contemporary presentation. Its approach reflects ongoing efforts within Korea’s culinary community to preserve and reinterpret royal-court and traditional cooking styles for modern audiences.
Seoul’s presence on the list extended further with 7th Door at No. 23 and Eatanic Garden at No. 25, demonstrating the diversity of Korean fine dining. While 7th Door focuses strongly on fermentation-based cuisine, Eatanic Garden presents seasonal tasting menus inspired by natural ingredients and modern culinary techniques.

According to organizers, Seoul was among the cities with the strongest representation across the extended rankings, highlighting the depth of its restaurant scene beyond just a few flagship venues.
