The news comes as many flights in and out of the Middle East have been cancelled due to American missile attacks on Iran and subsequent counterstrikes targeting US bases in the region.

A post shared on X by Abu Dhabi Airports said the incident resulted in the death of one person involving an Asian national and seven more, but it failed to give the cause and urged against circulating false rumors online.

The Dubai incident left four staff with serious injuries and happened when a concourse sustained minor damage, as per the city's media office. Aviation officials told Reuters that one of the terminals was damaged during an overnight Iranian attack. All flights at both airports were grounded on Saturday.
