The Wire Star Bobby J. Brown Dies in Barn Fire at 62

Bobby J. Brown has passed away at the age of 62 in a tragic barn fire incident.

The star was best known for playing Officer Bobby Brown on the hit HBO crime drama dubbed The Wire. Brown happened to be inside a barn trying to jump-start a vehicle when the fire broke out.

His daughter told the press about how he called for a fire extinguisher, but by the time that the family members arrived at the scene, the barn had already been engulfed by huge flames.

Brown was said to be overcome by smoke and soon passed away from smoke inhalation and diffuse thermal injuries. His death was soon ruled to be accidental, and his wife also suffered severe burns while trying to rescue him.

Brown's career spanned film and television. Before acting, he was an accomplished amateur boxer. After studying drama, he appeared on Homicide: Life on the Street, Law and Order, and The Corner, amongst others.
