Rob and Michele Reiner's Autopsy Still Not Completed as Nick Reiner Enters Not Guilty Plea

The 32-year-old son of famous filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner appeared in a courtroom yesterday and pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder in connection with his parents' death that took place on December 14, 2025.

The remains of Rob and Michele were found inside their residence in Brentwood with stabbing wounds.

Reiner has been held without bail since his arrest following the discovery of the bodies. Prosecutors have charged him with special circumstances due to several murders and alleged the use of a knife, meaning he could soon face life in prison without parole or the death penalty if he is indeed convicted of the crime.

His arraignment was delayed in the hearings held previously after his private attorney unexpectedly withdrew from this case.

He's now being represented by public defender Kimberly Greene. Details linked to a possible motive behind the killings are yet to be disclosed.
