A North Carolina mother 62of three, Michele Hundley Smith, has been found alive more than 24 years after she suddenly disappeared in December of 2001.
This is while she happened to be out and about Christmas shopping. Smith who is now 62, was located by the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office on February 20, 2026. This follows a new tip that was attained, and authorities continue to speak about how she's alive and doing well. At her request, her current location is yet to be revealed to the public.

In a complex post published through her social media account, she mentioned more about how she was feeling ecstatic, pissed, heartbroken, and also all over the map over the news.

She's torn between her feelings and humanity for her mom, adding how people need to be empathetic on the matter and stop making assumptions about what might have happened.
