Rhode Island trans dad Robert Dorgan killed son, ex-wife— and critically wounded grandparents after opening fire at packed ice hockey game

The tragic mass shooting incident that took place on Monday at a packed ice hockey game in Rhode Island was said to be carried out by a trans father.

The gunman reportedly opened fire in the stands and killed his former wife, Rhonda Dorgan, and their adult son, before turning the gun on himself.

Police shared more about how the 56-year-old suspect was identified as Robert Dorgan, who had been attending the game where another of his sons was playing.

The shooting occurred at about 2:30 pm as spectators and players were present for a regular hockey event. Witnesses described this chaos as people dove for cover, and some bystanders intervened to confront the shooter.

Three more people, who included Rhonda's parents and a family friend, were also said to be shot and rushed to hospitals in critical condition.

After being confronted, the shooter pulled a second firearm and passed away from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene.
