RFK Jr tells podcaster Theo Von he’s not ‘scared of a germ’ as he used to ‘snort cocaine off toilet seats’

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has made headlines after a recent appearance on comedian Theo Von's podcast.

In conversation, he spoke about his long history of substance abuse and recovery, including how he used to meet the show's host during early morning recovery meetings years ago.

Kennedy explained that when the COVID-19 pandemic forced such meetings to shut down, he and others formed a small pirate group that continued to meet in person.

To illustrate why he was not afraid of germs during the pandemic, Kennedy mentioned that he's not afraid because he used to snort cocaine off toilet seats.

His remark swiftly drew attention online, with some reacting with shock and criticism about such a graphic description from someone who now leads the country's top health agency.

Others pointed out that Kennedy has been very open about his past struggles with addiction for decades. He's maintained sobriety by attending support meetings for more than 40 years.
