Pilot Sends Message to Wife Before Making an Emergency Landing on Busy Road: 'We're Not Going to Make It'

A single-engine plane recently made an emergency landing on a busy road in Gainesville, Georgia, after it experienced engine trouble shortly after it tookoff.

The plane was said to be carrying a pilot and a student pilot, as it lost power and could not return to the airport. With a limited number of options available, the pilot aimed for a stretch of the roadway and brought this plane down to the ground in the midst of traffic.

Before the landing, the pilot shared how he felt the situation was a dire one and left a heartfelt message to his loved ones, thinking that he would not be able to survive the crash. The plane ended up landing at Browns Bridge Road, hitting three vehicles as it came down among cars.

Witnesses shared more related to the scene as chaotic drivers swerved to avoid this plane.

Remarkably, both people on board the plane survived and were rushed to the hospital with only minor injuries. Motorists on the ground also ended up escaping serious harm, but no fatalities were reported despite the dramatic circumstances involved.
