The man was said to be working as a DoorDash deliveryman, and his mother-in-law stated that he was innocent and had nothing to do with the possible kidnapping.

Investigators then rushed to his home and were seen exiting with possible bags for investigation. While the man has been released, his family has accused the FBI of trying to paint him in a negative light, despite his innocence. The subject's search included a property located in Rio Rico, Arizona, south of Tucson.
