Jamie Lee Curtis is celebrating 27 years of sobriety, which she says is a huge milestone in her life.

The celeb shed light on her recovery from drug and alcohol addiction and how it was a tough road, but she never gave up. The actress shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, remembering how she received help during one of her lowest moments.

Curtis shared how 27 years back, she felt so much pain and sorrow but reached out for support, and her friend and former co-star Richard Lewis took her hand and assisted her in beginning her path to sobriety.

Lewis shared her to others in recovery, which Curtis says altered her life and assisted her in escaping the daily jail of addiction.

Lewis was a comedian and actor who co-starred with her on the sitcom Anything but Love from 1989 to 1992. He died in 2024 at the age of 76. Curtis has gone on to publicly credit him for being pivotal in her turning point towards sobriety.
