Texas cheerleader Grace Brito dies days after best friend was killed in sledding tragedy during winter storm

A tragic accident in Texas has left the entire community saddened and in a state of mourning after two teenage school best friends passed away following a crash during a rare winter storm.

Both girls, named Gracie Brito and Elizabeth Lizzie Angle, were believed to be riding on a sled that was being pulled by a Jeep Wrangler. This vehicle was driven by a teen boy through a neighborhood coated in both ice and snow.

The sled hit a curb and then collided with a tree, resulting in serious injuries to both girls.

Elizabeth was pronounced dead at the scene on the weekend, while her sister Gracie was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Despite the life-saving efforts and days on life support, Gracie passed away last night, days after her best friend's death.

Both girls were high school sophomores at Wakeland High School and were famous in the community. Elizabeth was active in soccer, played for her high school team and FC Dallas, and was remembered by loved ones as an adventurous and joyous person. Gracie was a dedicated cheerleader and was admired for her kindhearted nature.
