President Trump recently shared how the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC would be closing on July 4, 2026, for nearly two years so that it can undergo what he called a total rebuilding.
Trump added that the building that stands right now is very outdated and has some major issues with its structure and finances.

Since they took over the Center's leadership after returning to the White House, Trump mentioned how he's reshaping the whole institution's board, installed his allies, and overseen a controversial renaming of this building to feature his name alongside Kennedy's.
