5-Year-Old Boy Released from ICE Detention Center After Almost 2 Weeks, Boards Plane Home to Minneapolis with His Dad

5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos and his father returned home from a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody this week after being held at the family detention center in Dilley, Texas.

The duo was taken into custody on January 20 during an ICE operation in Minneapolis, which was a story that went viral across the country.

ICE defended the actions, stating that they tried to arrest the child's father and therefore couldn't leave the child alone on the streets. This is why they chose to detain him as well.

The child's blue bunny hat and Spider-Man bag got attention around the globe as many hearts were shattered to see such a young child in ICE custody.

After an immediate order by the Judge, the duo were released yesterday and have managed to safely return to their home.

The incident has sparked serious public outrage and questioned the motives of ICE, especially when it comes to the safety of young kids in the country.
