Los Angeles forced to pull buses with ‘Melania’ ads after vulgar vandalism targeting first lady

Los Angeles County's public transit agency has confirmed that it's relocated and reassigned buses displaying ads for the new documentary Melania after repeated acts of vandalism took center stage.

The ads were said to be a part of the big promotional agenda ahead of the movie's theatrical release at the end of January.

Metro officials spoke to local media about how they made the decision to move the buses in the interest of protecting their riders, assets, and employees.

They also wished to minimize the risk of more damage taking place to public property. The vehicles themselves remain in active service but were soon shifted to those places where reports of graffiti and defacement of ads turned out to occur less frequently.

Pictures were seen circulating online from around LA that showed posters and bus stop signs tagged with crude graffiti. These included devil horns, slurs, and expletives with comparisons to historical figures like a Hitler-style mustache drawn onto Melania Trump's picture. Some had explicit statements linked to the Epstein Files, and Trump's linkswere also mentioned.
