A private Bombardier Challenger business jet crashed at Maine's Bangor International Airport on Sunday night, killing all six people on board as it tried to make a take-off amid winter weather conditions, just after a voice over the radio said, 'Let there be light.'
{img}The plane was said to be linked to a Houston-based law firm, and ended up flipping over on the runway and bursting into flames, giving rise to a fast emergency response and closure of the airport.
{img}The first identified victim of this crash was Tara Arnold, a 48-year-old attorney and the wife of Kurt Arnold, who is the co-founder of the leading Texas personal injury law firm Arnold & Itkin.
Tara was a senior attorney in the firm and was said to be traveling with others on a flight that was headed to Paris for a business or leisure trip when it crashed.
{img}Houston area officials and friends described Tara Arnold as an active community member with a heart of service and noted her involvement in local nonprofit work in Harris County. Other than Arnold, other victims included pilot Jacob Hosmer and event planner Shawna Collins, among others. Authorities are yet to release the names of all the deceased as the official investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board continues.
