19-year-old Lucas Mattson, who was a sophomore engineering student at the University of Michigan, was recently found dead after being reported as missing in serious cold weather.
He was last seen in the early hours of January 23, walking alone on campus without a coat during frigid conditions.
{img}When he did not return, friends were seen contacting authorities, and a search was carried out that lasted nearly 20 hours, involving local cops and security teams from the university.
His remains were found the next day, around midday, only a short distance from where he was last seen. As per law enforcement officials, there were no obvious signs of trauma, and at the moment, foul play is not suspected in his death.

University officials and cops expressed serious condolences to Mattson's family, friends, and the broader campus community. They acknowledged the sadness linked to his loss.
