The View co-host Sunny Hostin has sparked fresh controversy by making suggestions about US President Donald Trump.
She mentioned how Trump chose to run for office again, solely because he wished to protect himself from criminal prosecution.
In that discussion, the panel was seen reacting to former special counsel Jack Smith's recent testimony that was presented to Congress.
In that, he claimed evidence that Trump decided to break the law willfully by keeping classified documents at his home in Florida, and also mentioned his interference in the election process of 2020.
In that regard, co-host Joy Behar was seen asking more about why Trump was not in jail if he did break the law.
Hostin then explained how the longstanding Department of Justice policy prevents any current ruling president from being indicted, and she truly believes that his bid for the presidency was driven by a desire to stay out of jail. This remark was seen getting a loud applause from the audience.
