Elon Musk-funded mural of murdered Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska goes up in Brooklyn — and local lefties are furious

A massive three-story mural honoring a 23-year-old refugee from Ukraine, Iryna Zarutska, was recently unveiled on the side of a building in the Bushwick neighborhood.

Sources from local media outlets were seen speaking about the matter, which has reignited a fresh debate with lefties who claim that such a mural was not necessary. They said the mural was put in place by anti-immigrant fascists.

Zarutska was brutally stabbed last year in August on a light rail train in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is right after she fled her country's war and landed in the US as a refugee.

The artwork was painted by a leading American street artist who goes by the name Ben Keller and is part of a bigger campaign to keep her memory alive and highlight the tragedy of her brutal killing.

The project drew massive funding from a long list of conservative tech figures, including the likes of Eoghan McCabe and Elon Musk. The former donated $500,k while Elon Musk gave $1 million in support for this.
