Rep Ilhan Omar is making headlines for sharply criticizing ICE agents and compared their actions to those seen in her native homeland of Somalia.
During a Democratic hearing that was recently held in St. Paul, Minnesota, she shed light on how she fled the country for this reason and, therefore, is shocked to see such behavior being repeated in Minnesota.
{img}She also expressed major frustration on the matter and added how the deployment of ICE agents in thousands was totally unacceptable and just a difficult notion to accept for obvious reasons.
She also mentioned how the agents in her district were carrying out unnecessary crackdowns against immigrants, as she continues to fight a high-profile fraud investigation against her wealth.
{img}"The tactics being used are so appalling," she revealed. Omar added how the USA will never be the same again, calling the country the goddam states, which is a phrase that really sparked backlash across the board.
The news comes as many call for her deportation out of the USA and back to Somalia, adding that's where she originally belongs.
