'Europe won't be blackmailed,' Danish PM says as EU ‘prepares $103bn tariffs’ after US president’s threats to Nato allies

Donald Trump has opted to ramp up his threats over the annexation of Greenland, boldly claiming that it belongs to the US.

The news sparked outrage across the EU as many NATO allies urged the US President to take a step back and reevaluate the matter. Instead, Trump chose to blackmail so many of his EU allies by rolling out tariffs against all those who failed to support his decision.

The matter has now taken a dangerous turn as Europe says it will not be intimidated by America and instead boldly vowed to fight back with its own tariffs that could be as much as $103 billion.

At the same time, they've vowed to halt the EU and US trade deal in retaliation for the tariffs rolled out by America.

Trump mentioned how his tariffs would come into effect starting February 1, resulting in an emergency meeting being called by EU leaders, where some very tough decisions were made.

Denmark has condemned the President's actions, stating that sole ownership of the country belongs to them. Greenland citizens have also taken to the streets to share how much they oppose being ruled by America, especially Donald Trump.
