Federal authorities are now signaling that the ICE agent who fatally shot 37-year-old Minneapolis resident Renee Nicole Good is not likely to face any criminal charges after the deadly encounter this month.
The agent, who was identified as Jonathan Ross, shot the mother thrice in the head, leading to her death. Now, her partner is said to face charges, but the agent will not.
{img}The news has sparked outrage as the actions of Jonathan Ross were slammed as unjustified, and people felt that he could have acted in a different manner that would not cost Good her life.
US Vice President confirmed a few weeks back that Ross had full immunity from all charges.
{img}Federal investigators, including the FBI, have taken over this case from local law enforcement officers, and the Department of Justice's civil rights division has so far declined to open any kind of formal civil rights investigation into this shooting. That means there are no plans to pursue federal criminal charges against the officer for actions that left Good dead.
