Dr Mehmet Oz is more than fine with Americans consuming alcohol in moderation and recently shared that it's a great way to allow people to bond and socialize with one another.

Recently, the health expert spoke during a press briefing with the health secretary and made a shocking revelation.

The guidelines included changes to alcohol recommendations and no longer specified the right limits for both men and women.

He also mentioned that everything needs to be in moderation, as drinking can increase the risks of cancer, cause heart disease, and even result in death.

The latest recommendations broadly declared how adults need to consume less alcohol for better health in general.

He also mentioned that it must be avoided in pregnancy or if using certain medications or those experiencing addiction or have a history of addiction.
