George Clooney is starting 2026 with a bang after attaining French citizenship.
The Hollywood A-lister, his wife Amal, and their two kids are now said to have French citizenship.
In an October interview, Clooney spoke about how he's got a nice farm in France where he lives, and he enjoys that very much.
A good portion of his life was spent growing up on the farm, the actor continued. But as a child, he hated the thought of that. The fact that he and his wife can get away from the fast life and modern world and enjoy quality time is beyond anything for him, he explained.
The actor admitted that he was very worried and concerned about raising kids in Los Angeles and felt that it was not the right place for them, especially given the current culture of Hollywood.
"I felt like they were never going to get a fair shake at life there," he mentioned. But in France, they don't give a s*it about your fame, he added. "I don't want them walking around worried about the paparazzi or getting compared to other kids," he concluded. Whatever the case might be, Clooney did admit that living in a country house in France was never in his wildest imagination, but he's so glad.
