A second pilot has passed away after a midair helicopter collision that took place in New Jersey.
A witness shared how harrowing the moment was and how she tried her best to keep him alive after the choppers crashed in her backyard.
{img}The two pilots collided at about 11:25 am on Sunday, around 35 miles southeast of Philadelphia.
Kirsch of Carney's Point passed away on Monday after being flown to a nearby hospital. Greenberg of Sewell passed away in the crash scene on Sunday, as confirmed by the local area's police chief.
{img}Statements from witnesses spoke about how the two helicopters were flying close together just before the crash. The crash site was nearly a mile and a half from the airport in a farm field.
The two pilots were said to be long-term friends and often had breakfast together at a cafe close to the crash site. Both helicopters ended up landing on the property of New Jersey resident Caitlyn Collins, who rushed outside to assist Kirsch after hearing the sounds of the terrifying crash.
